An annual orchestral concert returns this weekend, raising money for Ukrainian refugees.
St Peter's Church in Inkberrow will host a concert by Inkberrow Sinfonia on Saturday.
The show will be the 19th annual concert by the group and will this year be used to raise for the church fabric fund and the charity KHARPP, which provides support at the Polish border for refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine.
The orchestra is conducted by its regular maestro, Richard Laing, and the concert will open at 7:30pm with Handel’s Amaryllis Suite in the arrangement by Sir Thomas Beecham.
This will be followed by Schumann’s Cello Concerto in which the soloist will be rising star Leo Popplewell, a BBC New Generation Artist.
After the interval the orchestra will perform Schubert’s Third Symphony.
Tickets are £12.50 and can be purchased by calling Jenny Powis on 01386 792909 or by visiting the Forge Shop in Inkberrow High Street, the village Post Office in Pepper Street, or BLUE in Pershore.
