THE inquest into the deaths of two men who died after a head-on crash on the A449 near Ombersley has been closed.
Timothy Yapp and James Duffy died in a head-on crash after Mr Duffy accidentally drove in the wrong direction along the dual carraigeway.
The official cause of death was listed as road traffic collision following the inquest at Worcestershire Coroners Court in Stourport-on-Severn.
Mr Yapp, 50, a grandfather from Kidderminster, was driving to his job in Worcester when he was involved in a crash with a car coming in the opposite direction on Wednesday, March 2 last year.
A fundraiser was set up by Mr Yapp’s family via a GoFundMe page to help towards paying the funeral costs.
Mr Duffy, 37, had just started a new job as a pub chef and was on his way home from work. He had two children.

Balloons, flowers and written tributes were placed by the families and friends of Mr Yapp and Mr Duffy along the grass verge of the dual carriageway near Ombersley following the crash.
Jack Hodgkins, Mr Yapp’s stepson, paid tribute following the death saying he was a dedicated family man who “did not have a bad bone in his body”.
“He saved the life of my mum in December.
"She went into cardiac arrest and he helped bring her back, lying her on her side and talking to her.
“Tim was a loving family man devoted to his fiancee, kids and step kids and even the extended family.
“Tim was a man who would go miles out of his way to do anything for anyone who needed help. He was a genuinely good man and not a soul has a bad word to say about him.
“His unexpected death has left a huge void in the family.”
Mr Duffy’s sister, Fiona Hall, previously said: “He was a funny and loving man who lived life to the fullest. He was very adventurous and loved anything that involved outdoors or a challenge.
“He was an amazing dad to his nine-year-old son Jackson and to his step-son Cameron."
