A NEW cake shop is opening in St John's in a location which was set to become flats.
The Little Shop of Cakes, on the Bull Ring, has moved into a location previously occupied by Bedwardine Funeral Services.
The location has been empty since at least 2016, with Bedwardine Funeral Services moving location onto Bromyard Road.
The logo for the shop can be seen on the glass window overlooking the Bull Ring, and work is being carried out inside of the venue.

In 2021, plans to turn the empty venue into flats were backed by Worcester City Council.
The plans were at first rejected by the council in 2020 after fears that the flats would be too small.
The venue, which is also a listed building, dates back to the 18th century.
We have reached out to the owners of the shop for more information.
