A BUSINESS owner has slammed scaffolding in the city centre for "missed tourist trade" ahead of an update meeting.
Tim Evans, of Toys & Games of Worcester, said the tourist trade had been affected by the scaffolding works on Broad Street.
He said the works have obstructed the view of businesses on Lower Broad Street.
Mr Evans said:" It has been a real problem for the business on Lower Broad Street ever since this all began.
"We have a strong group of regulars who we are so grateful for but we tend to get a lot of tourist trade from passers-by, which has been severely affected by the scaffolding.
"We are essentially invisible behind the scaffolding to new customers and I feel we will be feeling the effect for years to come."

An information session on the programme of repair works at Angel House, Broad Street, Worcester is being held on Wednesday, September 28.
The sessions will give business owners the opportunity to speak to the project team and find out more about the programme of work and its progress.
The first stage of the work at Angel House is now complete, which included investigative surveys to determine the best course of action for the remaining works.
The session is set to be held at The Pod in Crowngate Shopping Centre, in Friary Walk, between 1pm and 3.30pm.
Another information session will take place next month as well.

Urgent work was undertaken at the building after it closed in May 2021 for renovations.
Storms in November 2021 caused the building to be at risk of partial collapse and led to large scaffolding panels to be wrapped around it effectively partially blocking part of Broad Street.
In June this year, the scaffolding was repainted, with The Crown Estate saying it would be continuing to carry out the works to Angel House as swiftly as possible and is liaising with the businesses affected.
Work is expected to be finished in the area by Spring 2023.
