A city centre car park will close at 4pm today (Saturday, September 10) for the remainder of the weekend to accommodate special guests coming to Worcester tomorrow.
Copenhagen Street car park is scheduled to reopen at 7am on Monday, September 12.
Worcester city council suggests alternative parking at Croft Road, Cattlemarket, St Martin's Gate, Clare Street, Newport Street, Commandery Road and Tallow Hill car park and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Worcester City Council workers have been redirecting drivers away from the car park this afternoon as queues of cars were trying to park.
One said: "The car park closes at 4pm today to get ready for the proclamation tomorrow.
"We need to car park ready for any VIP guests who will attend, we need to look after them.

"Most of them are expected to come down in the morning, but some might be down tonight."
The proclamation will be streamed on a giant video screen in Cathedral Square at 1pm on Sunday and on YouTube here.
The Worcestershire County Council proclamation will be at 1pm, followed by the Worcester City Council proclamation at 2pm.

These ceremonies will be followed by an extraordinary meeting of Worcester City Council, at which Worcester City Councillors will propose resolutions expressing condolence.
The Union Flag will be raised to full-mast when the proclamation is made at St James’s Palace and then returned to half-mast an hour after Worcester City Council’s Proclamation ceremony is completed.
