A man has been arrested following a reported stabbing in Worcester.
West Mercia Police confirmed a man in his 20s was arrested after reports of an assault in St Mark's Close on Thursday, September 8.
Police officers and ambulance services were called to the usually quiet street.
Midlands Air Ambulance also landed nearby.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a stabbing in St Marks Close, Worcester at 4:10pm.
"Crews treated one male on scene who had sustained serious injuries before he was conveyed by land ambulance on blue lights to hospital for further emergency care."

An ambulance, paramedic officer, critical care paramedic and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham all attended.
Police officers remained in the area hours after the incident, carrying out door-to-door enquiries.
A West Mercia spokesperson said: "Around 4pm today we received a report of an assault on St Mark's Close, Worcester.
"We attended along with West Midlands Ambulance Service and a man was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham with a serious injury.
"No other injuries have been reported and there is no wider risk to the public."

One resident of St Mark's Close, Leon Harris, said: "Basically, I was just in the house and I heard this scream.
"I looked out and the guy was shouting and walking around.
"He came down the road just across from my house and I heard him shout “I’ve been stabbed, I’ve been stabbed.
"He was holding on to a bin and a girl came over to help him
"Then he said “I’ve got to lie down” and then fell to the floor
"It was really shocking, especially for this neighbourhood."
Another neighbour said: “I had just come home from work and was having a tea in the back garden.
"This is normally a really quiet street. You don’t expect to look out and see all those police.”
There has not yet been an update on the condition of the victim.
