AN Audi has been pictured by police ignoring road safety legislation on the M5 near Worcester.
The West Mercia Police Road Safety Team shared an image earlier today of a black Audi on the motorway, ignoring a 'Red X' sign.
The car can be seen driving in the second lane, despite it being closed to all traffic, near a construction worker.
The driver of the black Audi was issued a fixed penalty notice for their actions.
A tweet from the West Mercia Police Road Safety Team said: "This is why we enforce Red X legislation.
"Red X signs were in operation on lanes two, three and four, meaning they were closed to traffic.
"The black Audi ignored them, travelling dangerously close to the road worker. Why risk it?
"A penalty notice was issued for the motorist in question."
