A RUNNING event in Worcester set up by a former world champion marathon athlete was held today.
Paula Radcliffe MBE's Families on Track event was held at Worcester Racecourse earlier today and saw lots of participants get involved.
Families have to run 10k between them, with a variety of track lengths available for runners of all age groups and abilities.
The cumulative total is added up after each course completion until 10k is reached.

Paula Radcliffe said she set up the event so that families could take part in a fun, and inclusive event together.
She said: "It started as an idea when my daughter was younger, we did a local fun run together and I just thought how nice it would be for a family really event where everyone can take part that's inclusive for little kids and all ages of the family."
Paula also showed her thanks to the organisers of the event, who had been working on the tracks since Thursday.
She said: "I got to Worcester yesterday. When you get here, you see just how much hard work has gone into making it look this amazing for the families involved, it's just brilliant."
Participants were wearing red t-shirts and some in fancy dress. At the end of the race, all participants were given medals as well.
Families from all across Worcestershire and beyond were taking part today, with a total of 40 families involved in the event.
Jenny, Chris and Bailey Dale, from Droitwich, came across the event while looking for a fun race for her son to take part in.
Jenny Dale said: "Bailey, our little boy, has been really getting into his running recently, so we saw it advertised and thought it was a great idea.
"We have been looking for races for his age and this is just a great event for the whole family."
Peter, Charlotte, and Freddie Jones, also from Droitwich, are celebrating Charlotte's birthday with the race today.
Charlotte Jones said: "Both my husband and I run, and we are really keen for our son to get involved as well.
"It is also my birthday and it is something I really wanted to do on the day."

Cllr Adrian Gregson, Mayor of Worcester, also attended the event and shared his praise for "hero" Paula Radcliffe.
He said: "It looks really fun. I did not know what to expect but it involves the whole family in doing it.
"It is great, and it's amazing to see Paula here encouraging it.
"Seeing a hero like her out there will start encouraging some of the younger runners to look to the future."
