A MAN accused of stealing televisions from tips across Worcestershire has appeared in front of magistrates.
Chigozie Edmunds faces 16 charges of theft by finding, a racially aggravated public order matter, and driving without a licence and driving without insurance.
At the first hearing of the case at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, (September 1), the 31-year-old did not enter a plea to the charges.
Melanie Winterflood, prosecuting, said the televisions were taken from Severn Waste Service run tips in Worcester, Stourport, Pershore and Malvern between March 4 and June 14 this year.
She explained the evidence being relied on for the prosecution's case would be CCTV footage.

The prosecutor said the public order matter allegedly took place on June 12, also at a tip.
Miss Winterflood asked for Edmunds' conditional bail, not to enter any waste and recycling centre in Worcestershire, continue adding although onerous it was necessary.
Mark Turnbull, defending Edmunds, explained he had not had chance to view the CCTV or speak to his client to establish the full details of what happened, so was asking for an adjournment.
Susan Mitchell, chairman of the magistrates bench, told Edmunds they would adjourn the case until September 15, when he could give his pleas.
The chairman told Edmunds - of no fixed abode but who has a care of address of Chestnut Grange, Offenham - that his conditional bail would continue.
The chairman said he should not attend any tips as it would be breaking his bail conditions, adding: "the recycling will just have to wait".
