THE 113th Bishop of Worcester has officially taken office after an enchanting enthronement ceremony was held in the Faithful City's Cathedral this afternoon.
About 1,500 dignitaries, friends, parishioners, and clergy packed the Cathedral to watch the two-hour long spectacular service.
After the ceremony the Right Reverend Dr John Inge told your Worcester News he was delighted to have finally taken up his post as the new Bishop of Worcester and praised everyone for their hard work in making the service pass off as planned.
"It was a great and joyous occasion - there was a real sense of joy about it," he said. "I would like to thank all of the people who worked hard in order to make it a marvellous occasion. I was really pleased with the whole occasion."
