TWO Worcester schools and a city restaurant have been presented with a prestigious award.
Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College in Timberdine Avenue, Fort Royal Community Primary School, Wylds Lane, and The Rajkot, The Tything, have all picked up a Heartbeat Award.
The certificate, which is recognised nationally by the Department of Health and the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, is presented to food businesses who provide a healthy environment and promote healthy choices.
Worcestershire Primary Care Trust (PCT) and Worcester City Council work in partnership to do the assessments.
Premises can only qualify for an award if they have achieved a food hygiene rating of at least four stars out of five on the new Scores on Doors system, launched at the end of last month.
