THE new Bishop of Worcester met with children and teachers from three different schools the day before his enthronement.
The Right Reverend Dr John Inge chatted with teachers and pupils at the launch of a new DVD at Bishop Perowne CofE College, Merriman's Hill, Worcester, yesterday.
The DVD, made by the Diocese of Worcester, aims to explain the enthronement to children and also discusses the significance and of a Bishop and the role they play in society. The Bishop said he enjoyed meeting pupils and staff from Bishop Perowne, St Barnabas CofE First and Middle School, Drakes Broughton, and St George's CofE Primary School, St George's Lane North, Worcester. "I hope that the DVD that has been made to explain more about bishops and the church will be of lasting use in schools," he said. Today's enthronement service will take place at Worcester Cathedral at 2.30pm.
