BUSINESSWOMEN in Worcestershire are invited to attend Women in Rural Enterprise's annual conference on Tuesday, March 18 at Harper Adams University College, Newport, Shropshire.

The conference, which will bring together female entrepreneurs from throughout the UK, has been called "WiFi & Wellies" to reflect the sheer diversity of businesses that belong to WiRE.

From traditional crafts, local foods and farm diversifications to high-tech enterprises such as IT consultants and e-commerce companies, WiRE members continue to combine the rural with the latest technologies to create successful businesses.

A range of inspirational speakers has been lined up for the morning. A choice of two workshops is then on offer. "Speed Networking" will offer participants the chance to promote their business in three minutes, while "I Can Do That" is a confidence-boosting session.

After lunch there will be a choice between two interactive seminars, "Making More Profit" and "Blogs, Pods and Twitters", where new technologies, vital to any business, will be examined and discussed.

The conference will end with a talk by Nicky Pattinson, who will share the personal and professional highs and lows of a life that has taken her from rock bottom to a successful career as an international motivational business speaker.

Both current business owners and aspiring female entrepreneurs are welcome to attend the event. The cost is £40 (+VAT) for members and £60 (+VAT) for non-members. Tickets can be booked online at www.wireuk.org or by calling WiRE on 01952 815338.
