A DANGEROUS drug driver who crashed into a city house seriously injuring three people has been told to prepare for prison.
Todd Richardson, of Sapphire Crescent, Worcester, appeared at Worcester Crown Court and walked free at the end of the hearing - but is now almost certain to not to do so when he next appears in front of a judge.
Three people were injured after the BMW X6 Richardson was driving crashed into a house in Bromwich Road, St John's, Worcester.
At the start of the plea and trial preparation hearing Richardson stood up in the dock and confirmed his name.
The court clerk then read out six counts to him, Richardson replying he was guilty to all.
Richardson admitted three counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit and driving without insurance.
Richardson also admitted possession of a controlled Class A drug, a quantity of cocaine.
Jason Patel, defending Richardson, asked for the case to be adjourned for a pre-sentence report on his client.
Recorder Egan told Richardson to stand, and the judge said he was adjourning the case for the report with his sentencing scheduled for October 4.
The judge said: "The offences you have admitted are serious matters.
Judge bans Todd Richardson from driving
"There is an interim disqualification - from the moment you leave this court you must not drive. If you do, you will be committing an offence."
The judge said he was adding a condition to his bail - that Richardson must co-operate with the probation service during the making of the pre-sentence report.
The judge added: "You face an immediate custodial sentence, you should prepare yourself."
Catherine Spedding prosecuted during the hearing which took place in Courtroom two on Tuesday, (August 30).

Residents had to move elsewhere after the BMW crashed into the house in St John's on December 19 last year.
Several passengers in the car suffered injuries with three attending hospital for serious injuries, with one left in a critical condition.
We reported at the time there was damage to both the property and vehicles in the property’s driveway, however, nobody in the house was hurt.
A dramatic picture of the house after the crash showed bricks for the porch area had crumbled to the ground after the impact.
The house, owned by Worcestershire County Council, remains uninhabitable and boarded up because of structural damage.
