PUPILS at a Worcester school have been taught more about the community they live in.
The local policing team for the Gorse Hill area, along with Geographical Inspector for Worcester, Andy Smith, visited youngsters at the Gorse Hill Community Primary School in Holly Mount Road. The team spent the day with pupils from years two and three as part of the Young Enterprise Scheme.
Inspector Smith said: "The aim of the day was to help people understand what a community is, learn more about their own community and how their individual actions and decisions affect that community.
"It was a great success and through various activities the children went away with a better understanding of what makes a community and the part they play within it."
