POLICE have arrested two people in Worcester involved in high-value alcohol thefts across the policing region.
West Mercia Police's Operations Patrol Unit shared that two occupants of a Volkswagen were arrested in Worcester yesterday (Monday, August 29) after being involved in the thefts.
Approximately £650 of spirits were located inside the vehicle, prompting their arrest.
In a picture shared by West Mercia Police, you can see spirits such as Courvoisier, Absolut Vodka and Jameson branded whiskey.
The bottles can all also be seen with security tagging still on the bottles.
The Operations Patrol Unit were accompanied by South West Mercia's Local Policing Priority Team to carry out the arrests.
A tweet shared by West Mercia Police said: "Team B and South West Mercia's Local Policing Priority Team stopped this VW in Worcester, recently involved in high-value shop thefts over West Mercia.
"Bottles of spirits valued at approx £650 were located inside before the theft had been reported.
"Two occupants were arrested."
The tweet also featured the hashtag "#denyingcriminalstheuseoftheroads".
