A man has died after suffering a medical episode in Worcester this afternoon.
West Mercia Police has now confirmed that the elderly male died after he was taken ill at a bus stop in Newtown Road, near Ripon Road, Ronkswood, Worcester this afternoon.
The death is not believed to be suspicious and next of kin have been informed.
Police, ambulance and the fire service attended the scene at around 3.30pm but, despite efforts to revive him, nothing could be done to save the man.

Inspector Alex Denny of West Mercia Police said: “I am sorry to confirm that police attended an incident along with the ambulance service earlier this afternoon at Newtown Road following reports of an elderly male at the location suffering a medical episode.
"The fire and rescue service also attended with privacy screens to preserve the dignity of the male, who was sadly pronounced dead at the location despite efforts to resuscitate him. The next of kin and family have been notified, and at this time we are not treating this as suspicious.”
