A HIGHLY-anticipated new restaurant in Worcester city centre has opened its doors to hungry customers.
HASH, on Chapel Walk, has welcomed the first diners to the restaurant which opened at the former Gourmet Burger Kitchen unit in Crowngate.
The restaurant is owned by Matt Denwood and has members of the former team at The Old Rectifying House which closed in February after flooding.
The announcement was made on Hash's Facebook page: "Well, we’re open.
"I couldn’t be happier and I couldn’t be more grateful to a large number of people for helping out.
"We’re serving food from 8am til 8pm. You’re more than welcome to pop in just for drinks as well.
"I guess that’s it really. I’ll add some pics shall I? See you soon I hope."
HASH will be selling dishes including breakfast options such as a full English and pancakes, and dinner options like mussels and fish and chips.

The Old Rectifying House was a popular restaurant and cocktail bar which was mentioned in the Michelin Guide.
The restaurant which sat next to the River Severn in North Parade but fell victim to Storm Eunice and Storm Franklin in February.
The venue had been flooded three times in the past three years, following floods in January last year and in February 2020.
Speaking ahead of the opening, head chef Simon Rallings said: "The food will be slightly different, we'll do breakfasts, early suppers and light lunches alongside our à la carte food.
"We want our new restaurant to make everyone feel at home, whether you come for a croissant and a coffee before work or you're coming for dinner or lunch.
"Some of the same dishes are coming over, we want to serve nice and simple food."
Mr Rallings, who worked at The Old Rectifying House for 11 years, added: "We will get more passing trade right outside Crowngate, whereas with the Old Rec people used to come to us to visit."

The restaurant is one of the many new restaurants and cafes in Worcester city centre, such as Fireaway Pizza, Cupp Bubble Tea and Spin the Black Circle.
