A SERIES of fires in skip bins have been started deliberately in Droitwich town centre.
Police are treating four fires as arson and believe they were started between 7pm and 10pm last night.
Two of the bins were at the back of Brown and Fincher, High Street, one was at the rear of Toyworld, High Street, and the contents of a fourth at the junction of the Saltway and Queen Street was also set alight.
A police spokeswoman said: "Officers are linking the fires, which are all being treated as arson.
"Luckily, the fires were small, contained and extinguished before they could cause injury or spread further. But this behaviour is highly dangerous and irresponsible and could have resulted in far more damage and people being hurt."
