A MASSIVE careers fair aimed at those wanting to work with children and young people is to be staged in Worcester next month.
Hundreds of people are expected at the Every Child Matters Careers Fair, which is organised by your Worcester News in association with Worcestershire County Council's Family Information Service.
The event will take place at the Fownes Hotel in City Walls Road, on Thursday, March 20, from 10am to 4pm.
A number of organisations involved in education and childcare will host stands at the fair providing a wide range of information and advice for careers in Worcestershire.
Worcester News events manager Sara Matthews said: "Last year we saw more than 300 people looking for opportunities and training for working with children, young people and their families.
"The day was a huge success with very positive feedback from those who took part and from visitors to the fair. We are hoping that this year's event will build on that success and will provide something for everyone."
The fair will offer advice and practical information about working with children, young people and their families.
Visitors can find out about qualifications and training courses, employment opportunities, working with children with special needs and/or disabilities, returning to work and finding childcare and working parent entitlements.
There will also be details about the Choices programme, which provides information about careers in childcare. People are invited to drop-in at the fair throughout the day for an opportunity to speak to the various organisations.
