AN intrepid oarsman is going to be visiting Worcester to talk about his record-breaking row across the north Atlantic.
Worcester-born adventurer Robert Munslow will be visiting Holy Trinity and St Matthew's Church in Ronkswood tomorrow.
Mr Munslow, who now lives in Monmouth, has rowed the Atlantic two-and-a-half times. In 2005 he set out on his greatest challenge yet - to row solo across the north Atlantic, back to the UK, a route many have tried but only a handful have completed.
He took just 64 days to make the crossing between St Johns, Newfoundland, Canada, and Rosevear Island, Scilly Isles, and in doing so set a World Record for the fastest unsupported solo row of the north Atlantic, land-to-land.
During the journey he endured blisters, Atlantic storms, two capsizes, fog, icebergs and had no fresh water.
Mr Munslow's talk will raise funds for the church, and will take place in the church hall at 7.30pm.
Donations of £5 payable on the door.
