ARMED police have spent the night at an incident in Worcester.
Tolladine Road was shut both ways near Teme Road.
Chief Inspector Andy Udall said police had responded to reports of criminal damage at 9pm last night.
Officers were given information which suggested two men were responsible.
When they arrived at an address in Teme Avenue officers suspected someone at the home had a long-barrel firearm.
"We responsed accordingly and treated it as a firearms incident," he said.
"Two individuals were arrested in relation to the incident at an address in Teme Avenue and another address in Rose Avenue."
Ten armed officers, 20 others as well as dog handlers were involved.
"There was nothing for residents to be concerned with," said Mr Udall. "The incident happened when there was the least amount of traffic about in the small hours."
Tolladine Road has now reopened.
