A MAN has been taken to hospital and a horse has died after a road accident this morning.
The incident happened on the A46 a mile outside of Evesham at 6am. It's thought a car hit a loose horse then ended up in a field, and the horse was hit again by a lorry.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "On arrival at the scene crews found a car that had been in a collision with a loose horse.
"The car had subsequently left the road and landed in a field.
"The driver of the car, a man believed to be in his 50s, suffered concussion and neck injuries in the collision and was treated at the scene.
"The man was stabilised and transferred to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch for further assessment and treatment.
"Following the first collision the horse was also struck by a lorry and unfortunately did not survive the two collisions.
"The driver of the lorry, a man in his 30s, was treated at the scene for shock and did not require hospital treatment."
