A FORMER Worcestershire teacher has been shortlisted for a national book award as the co-author of an innovative learning publication.
Will Thomas, of West Malvern, is now a professional life coach, trainer and author and is in line, along with co-author Brin Best, to scoop the prestigious Education Resources Award for their book the Creative Teaching and Learning Toolkit.
The book aims to support teachers and leaders in schools to develop creativity in the classroom.
Mr Thomas, who runs Vision for Learning in Malvern, has already written six books on learning, coaching and leadership.
He said: "We are delighted to have been shortlisted. Brin and I have put three-and-a-half years of work into writing and researching the book and know just how important creativity is to young people across all areas of the curriculum."
The book provides hundreds of strategies for teachers and lecturers along with a CD ROM of resources. The award winner will be announced on Friday in Birmingham.
