A COUPLE visiting Malvern from The Netherlands helped reunite a cat thought to be dead with its owners.
Esther and Frank Lusse reunited the cat called Squirt with its owners after it managed to travel from Worcester to Leigh Sinton which is six miles away.
The couple were staying at Bluebell Retreat Glamping in Leigh Sinton when they befriended the cat.
Deb White, owner of the campsite, said Frank and Esther are "true heroes" for their antics while on their visit to the UK.

She said: "In our eyes, Esther and Frank are the true heroes in this story.
"If they had not taken this course of action there is no doubt that Squirt would have not survived much longer and the owners would have never found out what happened to her.
"It touched our hearts how they cared for the cat and effectively gave up most of their stay with us to get her back to her owners.
The owners had no idea how she travelled from Worcester to Malvern, assuming that she must have gotten into a vehicle as she normally stays close to home.
Deb White: "We first saw this cat earlier that week and assumed it was local to our area, the guests thought it was our pet.
"Esther and Frank were staying for two nights and on the last leg of a three-week holiday from Holland.
"During the day they got close to the cat and after observing it and picking her up they came to the conclusion that she was extremely undernourished and was a tame domesticated cat.
"Esther went took the cat to White House Vets, where they discovered she was chipped and registered.
"She was very undernourished and only weighed half her normal weight."

The couple paid for a health check-up for the cat and would have returned to the UK to adopt her if no owner was found.
Deb said: "At the vets, it was found that she went missing over five weeks before and the owners had accepted that they might never find her alive."
