WORCESTER Warriors fans have expressed their hopes and fears over the ongoing situation at the club.
Fans are anxiously awaiting an update on the club's future and have been sharing their concern for the future of their club.
An update is expected today (Monday) after the club, which plays at Sixways Stadium, was issued a winding-up petition last week by the HMRC.
The financial issues are over an unpaid tax bill, reported to be in the area of £6m.
Readers have been leaving many emotive comments on Worcester News articles shared on Facebook.
Marsh Whieldon said: "It is sad but when the previous owners put the club up for sale, they only had the present owners interested in purchasing the Club.
"So at least we have seen Rugby at Sixways for the past five years. Basically, all Premiership Clubs are losing money."
The staff and the players both have been considered by the fans, who shared their concerns about the loss of jobs.
Julie Brannon said: "It’s sad. I feel for all the workers as well as the players."
Thelma Foster said: "Sad news. Hope someone comes up with a way to save them."
A lot of fans have also left comments stating how disappointed the former owner Cecil Duckworth would have been to see the club in this situation.
Do the right thing.

Duckworth took the club into the professional era after joining the club in 1997 as executive chairman and he is the reason the Warriors are where they are today.

Ron James said: "This only started to happen after Cecil was gone. Shows how much he is missed."
Twitter has also seen lots of supporters hoping for the best for the club.
Fran Gates said: "Fingers crossed that the Warriors are saved, it breaks my heart to see any club in the prem in financial difficulties.
"I know my Wasps are also on shaky ground. These are two really old clubs with long histories. The prem just wouldn't be the same without them."
If the debt cannot be paid then there is the possibility of severe punishments and now supporters fear that everything Duckworth did is at threat of being undone.
