RESIDENTS in Worcester are being warned about changes to park-and-ride bus services and ticket prices.
Worcestershire County Council will begin operating the W1 bus service from the park-and-ride site at Perdiswell to Worcester city centre from Sunday as part of scheduled countywide bus services changes.
The W1 service will be the only bus operating out of the park-and-ride site and the buses will leave for the city centre at least every 10 minutes, with an additional bus operating during peak hours.
People travelling on the W1 bus with Park & Travel and Adult Travel Only tickets will now have to pay £2.20 instead of £2. All other fares remain the same.
Meanwhile, additional changes see the W2/W3 no longer serving the Perdiswell Park & Ride site and being renumbered the X22/X23 respectively. These services will now call at the bus stops on Bilford Road at Perdiswell island for those passengers who used to access the W2/W3 from the Park and Ride site.
The new timetabled X22/X23 will now serve Worcestershire Royal Hospital's main entrance in response to numerous passenger requests and will operate at a half hourly frequency.
