PLANS for 13 homes in the heart of Worcester's Lower Wick estate have won the backing of planners.
Worcester City Council's planning committee agreed to the proposals for the two and three bedroom homes at Canada Way, Lower Wick, Worcester, at a meeting at the Guildhall on Thursday.
The homes on land next to the Maple Leaf pub would consist of three mid-terrace two-bedroom homes, two end-terrace three-bedroom homes and eight semi-detached three-bedroom homes.
The site already has planning permission for 21 homes on the site, granted in June last year and the developer will now decide which plan to proceed with.
Alan Coleman, development control team leader at Worcester City Council, said most residents backed the plans.
However, one letter of objection was received from a resident who said the homes would lead to loss of light and privacy in their back garden.
