NORTHERN soul oldies and Motown rarities will ring out from Keystones's tonight.
The Vintage Soul night, which starts at 8pm, will feature all the best soul records and raise money for Cancer Research UK.
The event is being staged as an add-on to the Christmas lights display that Julian Smith, known to friends as Bogue, puts up on his family home in Malvern Road, St John's, in memory of his mother, who died of cancer in 2004.
"We have always lit up our house," said Mr Smith.
"But after mum died we thought it would be a good idea to use it to raise funds for research into the cruel disease that led to her death.
"Wayne, a friend who helps with the light installation, lost his mum to cancer too, and so we decided to use our taste in music to support the same cause."
The last Vintage Soul night was held at the University of Worcester two years ago and helped raise the grand total of £1,750. Entry to this evening's event is £2.50 on the door.
