IF you want to find out more getting your first job, making a career change or training for your dream occupation, your Worcester News is here to help.

For the fifth year in a row, the Worceser News Jobs and Careers Fair will be held at Worcester's Guildhall.

The event, on Thursday, March 6, allows people to find out more about jobs and educational opportunities.

This year there will be many new stalls, along with some of the regulars, all keen to offer their expert advice and help with any CV problems.

Among many of the stalls there on the day will be one from Kidderminster College.

Denise Brownridge, marketing officer at the college, said the event was always very busy and an enjoyable day.

She said: "Our college does do very well in performing arts. We get a lot of students expressing an interest in it and I think it is good for us to go as it is attended by a lot of local schools.

"It is a perfect way for people to meet us and for us to hand out our prospectus to them. It is important to see what everyone is offering and for people to find out more about our college."

This is the first year jobpatch.com - a new job search site for Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire, will attend the event.

Head of marketing David Spring said: "We launched in January and we want people to know about us and the services that we offer to employers and job-seekers."

Worcestershire County Council's early years and childcare service will also be there to promote working with children, young people and families, while another regular, AC Selection, will be offering advice on CVs, salaries and the current jobs market.

The fair is open from 10am until 4.30pm. Admission is free.
