STARSTRUCK customers have called a new Lidl supermarket 'fabulous' and 'awesome' as they made a beeline for the sun loungers and ice creams.
The first customers through the doors on one of the hottest days of the year gave Lidl in Droitwich Road, Worcester a big thumbs up on its opening day.

In particular, the opening offers and summer deals on products like sun loungers, hot tubs and ice cream makers were proving popular as the city bakes in the latest heatwave.
Graham Jones, 59, said: "I think it's fabulous. I love the locality of it. For me, it's only a bike ride away. We wanted this for a lot of years really. I think it's great."
Abi Griffiths, 34, of Northwick, Worcester, arrived with daughter Bella, aged one, but stopped for a brief chat before her ice creams melted as the city cooks.
The Met Office has issued an amber extreme heat warning for the rest of this week after record temperatures for the UK last month when a red warning was issued.
Mrs Griffiths said of the new store: "It's really good, really convenient. It has everything we need in there and a very nice layout. With inflation going up, Lidl is going to be my go-to from now on."
Tina Lacey-Cross, 38, and her two-year-old daughter, Hollie, of Fernhill Heath, just up the road from the new store, made the most of a deal on sun loungers.
Mrs Lacey-Cross said: "I bought two. Normally they're £50 each. Today I got two for £50 as they're selling for £24.99 each. That's a bargain, it really is.
"I knew it was opening today and I wanted to have a look to see what it was all about. It's just down the road from where we live.
"This is certainly going to be our local supermarket. It's bigger than the other Lidl stores in the area and there's lots of choice - lots."
Amy Burrows, 36, said: "It's lovely. This is really handy for us. It's nice to have a Lidl on this side of the city. This will become our regular store. We will probably come a couple of times a week. It's on the way home from my husband's work."
Mrs Burrows said the appeal was the price but she also made use of the app to get vouchers and deals. The mum also said Lidl had good choice for people with allergies.
A hot tub offer was on the cards for Friday - a Whirlpool hot tub will be selling for £99. Normally they sell for £199 so customers can pick up a £100 saving said managers who said Lidl now had a 7 per cent share of the market in the UK.
More offers continue on Saturday with ice cream makers selling for £29.99 instead of £59.99.
