FORMER BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles has released a special message to Worcester ahead of his set at the cricket club.

Moyles will bring his 90s Hangover set to Worcestershire Cricket Club on Friday night (August 5).

In a specially recorded video message he said: "Hello Worcester, Chris Moyles here so Worcestershire County Cricket Club this Friday 5th August we're doing our 90s Hangover Show there.

"It's going to be a brilliant night of 90s music. I have got a few of my DJ friends coming.

 

"I would love you to get a ticket. Come and join us

"We'll have some food, we'll have a few drinks, we will have a dance and sing to a load of 90s tunes.

"Get a ticket. See you Friday night."

The set will include some of the best songs from the 90s with a food village selling burgers, poutine and Philly cheese steak.

A cricket club spokesperson said: "Join us this summer for a night of the best 90s music.

"Arguably one of the most well-known people in British Broadcasting, Chris Moyles has had an exciting and varied career and is considered one of the nation’s favourite radio DJs.

"New Road will turn into the biggest party in Worcester for one night as Chris Moyles ’90s Hangover event brings you all the best tracks from the greatest decade."

An at-times controversial broadcaster, Chris Moyles presented the early breakfast show, a Saturday morning show, and the drive time show throughout his time at the BBC.

He later left to join Capital FM before moving to his current home presenting for RadioX

Last summer saw Jo Whiley bring a night of 90s anthems to the cricket club, the event having been rearranged due to Covid restrictions.
