A WHITE vehicle is being hunted by police after the driver failed to stop following a collision with a pedestrian.
Worcester police are appealing for witnesses following the incident on City Walls Road at the pedestrian crossing by the old Jaguar garage site at around 12.40pm yesterday.
The lights are said to have been signalling green for pedestrians but a white vehicle - its make and model unknown - continued through the lights and hit the man.
The vehicle failed to stop after the incident and drove off in the direction of London Road.
The man returned home but was later taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment to minor leg injuries before being discharged.
A police spokeswoman said: "It is clearly an offence to fail to stop after an incident such as this and it is lucky the victim did not receive more serious injuries.
"There would have been a lot of people in the area at the time, which is busy for both vehicle and foot traffic.
"Anyone who saw the incident, has any information on the make or model of the vehicle, or who took down its registration plate, should contact police immediately."
