UNSEEN footage of Worcestershire-born Harry Styles' first The X Factor audition shows his performance did not run smoothly.
An extended audition tape has been released on YouTube of the Redditch-born singer, singing in front of judges including Simon Cowell.
Since his 2010 appearance on X Factor, Styles has topped the charts multiple times with songs like Watermelon Sugar.
However, his audition did not run so smoothly with the One Direction star, now 28, initially singing Hey Soul Sister by Train with a backing track.
After a slightly pitchy performance, Simon Cowell, 62, said: "I don’t know whether it’s the track that’s throwing you, but can I hear something that’s just you without any music?"
Although fans may know what happens next, without missing a beat, Styles suggests singing Isn't she Lovely by Stevie Wonder and quickly wins over the crowd.
The performance won him a spot at Boot Camp where One Direction was formed with the boyband eventually making third place in the competition.
At the start of the audition, there was more unseen footage of Styles chatting to Cowell about the bakery he used to work at.

The head judge asked: "What do you do in the bakery?"
Styles said: "I like, serve the cakes in the shop."
The unseen footage shows the pair discussing their favourite cakes and doughnuts before the audition starts.
Earlier this year, Harry swapped his guitar for a children's book and polka dot pyjamas.
The pop star appeared on CBeebies Bedtime Stories and read In Every House, On Every Street by Jess Hitchman and illustrated by Lili la Baleine on Monday (May 23).
The episode started with Harry welcoming the audience into 'his house' with the star adding: "Tonight's bedtime story is about a house full of love and laughter."
The 28-year-old wore Gucci pyjamas, a chunky beaded necklace, eye-catching rings and painted his nails yellow matching the yellow armchair he was sitting on.
The former One Direction star is not the first celebrity to have been featured on CBeebies Bedtime Stories.
Several famous names have appeared on the show including the Duchess of Cambridge, Elton John, Dolly Parton and Tom Hardy have also appeared on the show.
