A WOMAN was saved from the waters after the ambulance service receives two separate reports of people in the River Severn.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said it was alerted to two different incidents where people may have been in the water on the River Severn overnight (Wednesday).
The news comes after a large emergency services presence, including police, fire crews and ambulances was seen on Worcester Bridge.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a patient in the water near to Worcester Rowing Club at 7.44pm, one ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
"On arrival, we discovered one patient, a woman, who was out of the water.
"Ambulance crews worked closely with colleagues from the police to bring the woman to safety before she was taken to Worcester Royal Hospital for further treatment."
The second call later that evening was regarding the reports on Worcester bridge.
The spokesperson continued: "At 10.17pm we received another call to reports of a patient in the water near to Tybridge Street.
"One ambulance, two paramedic officers and our Hazardous Area Response Team attended the scene.
"However, following a thorough search of the area, together with colleagues from the police and fire services, no patient was found."
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told the Worcester News that crews were in attendance to support West Mercia Police.
A video taken in Diglis shows emergency services driving through the area, and a police helicopter was also filmed overhead in the area.
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue said: "We were in attendance to assist looking for someone who was believed to be in the water, which thankfully nobody was.
"We had two boats and a crew standing by from Worcester, Malvern and Hereford.
"We came away from the scene at 10.30pm last night."

A West Mercia police spokesperson said: "Emergency services responded to a concern for safety report which suggested that a female may be in the River Severn at Worcester.
"Following a thorough search it was established that she was not in the river but was located safe elsewhere."
