PEOPLE SAY breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so we decided to ask a food blogger to reveal his favourite food spots in Worcestershire.

A food connoisseur known as the Breakfast Boy uploads mouth-watering food pictures to his Instagram feed.

He is often asked for his recommendations for top places to enjoy breakfast and brunch.

The Breakfast Boy recommended the following places in Worcester and Malvern.

TOAST Flyford - Old Hill

First up, The Breakfast Boy chose Toast Flyford in Flyford Flavell.

He said: "A firm Instagram favourite and for a good reason. If you’re looking for something a bit different to your average fry-up, you need to try TOAST.

"Family run and dog family TOAST has an extensive menu - think Kinder Bueno French toast, breakfast tacos and my personal favourite - crab Benedict.

"The menu changes constantly to keep things fresh.

"Dogs can also get in on the action with their pupachinnos and why not try brunch on a bus with their converted authentic American school bus."

Mayfly cafe - The Cob House

The Mayfly Cafe at the Cob House on Worcester Road, near Wichenford, is a quirky cafe with reindeer and alpacas just down the road, the breakfast boy said: "If you’re looking for a no-nonsense breakfast, done right, with all the trimmings, the Cob House is your place.

"After your breakfast, you can check out the reindeer and alpacas making it a great day out for the whole family.

"It’s also one of the few places I’ve found that offers old-school fried bread to send you into a full food coma."

Black and White - Foregate street

The food fanatic said he is a regular at Black and White on Foregate Street.

The breakfast expert said: "This has to be one of my regular go-to places.

"Sometimes, all you need is a breakfast bap and what a beauty Black and White produce."

Broomfield's of Holt - Holt Heath

Broomfield's is set within a farm shop near Holt Heath that serves seasonal ingredients and traditional breakfasts.

Breakfast Boy said: "As well as a traditional farmhouse, the breakfast is made with some banging butcher sausages and black pudding.

"The menu also includes some more quirky offerings such as breakfast nuggets.

"Bubble & squeak is not just for Christmas when you’re at Broomfields!"

FAUN - Malvern

Malvern FAUN also made it onto the list with its photogenic restaurant on Worcester Road, Malvern.

The Breakfast Boy said: "I love a greasy spoon as much as the next guy, but every now and again I like to push the boat out and go somewhere a bit more extra.

"And this little independent restaurant and deli in Malvern is definitely extra.

"With high quality and local ingredients this place offers things like trendy Shakshuka as well as things like beans on toast - but believe me these are not your average beans on toast.

"It’s hugely popular so be prepared for it to be busy."

Francini Cafe de Colombia - Angel Place

Coffee-lovers know that Francini has the best coffee in Worcester, but our food expert recommends the Colombian breakfasts too.

The Breakfast Boy said: "Did you know they also offer a fantastic range of traditional Colombian breakfasts?

"One of my favourites is arepas which is a delicious cornbread cake served with various different fillings. Worcestershire’s very own little Colombia."

Lots of new places are opening up around Worcester including The Piano cafe, The Botanist and HASH.

People of Worcester are becoming spoilt for choice when it comes to looking for a to-go breakfast place.
