A POOP-scoop patrol is out to clean up a Worcestershire village plagued with problems of dog mess, and owners are being warned they could face £50 fines if they fail to pick-up after their pet.
Officers from Malvern Hills District Council's street scene team have now started walking the streets of Kempsey and they have threatened to issue fixed penalty notices to anyone who is seen to fail to pick up after their dog.
Animal welfare officer Paul Hine said: "There are a high number of responsible dog owners out there, but there are also a few who refuse to follow the law.
"This behaviour needs to stop and we are determined to crack down on it."
