Church members enjoyed a weekend of festivities to celebrate 70 years since the present church building opened. More than 200 churchgoers enjoyed games, a puppet show, a photograph and memorabilia exhibition, quizzes and a meal at the Worcester Road church's Amphlett House. Mrs Simmonds, who was around when the church was built, and Greta Robinson cut two cakes.
