The first meeting of the year was well attended. The president welcomed everyone to the meeting, including five visitors who we hope will become regular members.

Our annual lunch will be on March 7 and Pauline asked everyone where they would like to go. The vote was the Chateau Impney.

We have also received a letter of acknowledgement from Marie Curie Trust for the donation sent to them.

We then had an interesting talk by Ian Andrews on British National History. Ian showed us some splendid slides of wild birds, wild flowers, insects and animals, including a fox who liked Maltesers.

The competition for a hilarious new year resolution was won by Ann Devereux and second Ann Crowther.

We meet on the third Wednesday of the month, and anyone who would care to join us will be make welcome. No need to book, just turn up.
