A memorial concert will be held at Worcester Cathedral for the county judge killed during last year's summer floods.
Eric Dickinson, of Leigh, near Malvern, died in June when his car was swept away by floodwaters at Pershore.
Now, in memory of the 68-year-old, who was described by friends and family as "irreplaceable", the English Symphony Orchestra will perform a specially chosen programme of classical works on Friday, April 18.
A portrait of Mr Dickinson, commissioned by the Worcestershire Law Society, will be unveiled on the night.
John Alexander, president of the society, said: "This is an event of which Eric would have been proud - a performance of the finest English music at the cathedral that he loved.
"It is particularly exciting to be able to unveil the portrait commissioned in his memory and to have him with us on the night."
Mr Dickinson, a county court judge for 23 years and solicitor with local firm Harrison Clark, was a founding member of the Rotary Club of Worcester Severn and heavily involved with St Andrew's Methodist Church in Worcester.
He was vice-chairman of Leigh and Bransford parish council, a member of amateur dramatic group the Lychgate Players and twice secretary of the Three Choirs Festival. He has also been chairman of the South Worcestershire Victim Support Service.
The concert, supported by the Rotary Club and Law Society, will be attended by Mr Dickinson's widow Gill and sons William and Mark. It is open to everyone and tickets are on sale now.
The programme has been hand-picked by conductor Vernon Handley. It will feature a mixture of British compositions, ranging from Sir Edward Elgar's Enigma Variations and Ralph Vaughan Williams' Lark Ascending to rarely performed pieces by Arnold Bax and George Butterworth.
Alwyn Davies, member of the Rotary Club, vice chairman of Worcestershire County Council and friend of Mr Dickinson for over 40 years, is behind the concert.
He said: "We believe it fitting to organise such as evening in remembrance of Eric and hope that all those people who knew him in his professional, community and church lives will join us for a special evening."
