A WORCESTER man shouted and swore at police while they were stationary in traffic, a court has heard.
Steven Woodruff was promptly arrested for his abuse on Friday, February 1, and appeared before Worcester magistrates yesterday.
Emma Lile, prosecuting, said: "At 2pm on Friday, February 1, officers were stationary in traffic in Foregate Street. The officer in the driver's seat had his window down and heard someone shouting and swearing."
Miss Lile said Woodruff, 24, of no fixed abode, also stuck his fingers up at the officers. Woodruff admitted a charge of being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
He was fined £40 and ordered to pay £60 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
