COLOURFUL and loud - the Chinese New Year celebrations are bound to cause a stir in Worcester High Street tomorrow.
The annual extravaganza, organised by the Worcestershire Chinese Association, marks the start of the Year of the Rat, which began on Thursday, February 7.
Activities will include Chinese lion dancing, firecrackers, kung fu demonstrations, traditional singing, dancing, plus arts, crafts and foodstuff stalls.
The association is a non-profit charity organistion that aims to promote Chinese culture throughout Worcestershire, as well as bridge gaps in language and understanding within the community.
The New Year event takes place between 12pm and 3pm and all members of the public are welcome.
