A TREE in Worcester, which was partially blown over in high winds a fortnight ago, is a risk to youngsters in the area, according to a mother.
Louise Griffiths who lives on Gresham Road, Dines Green, originally reported the problem to Worcester City Council at the end of January, but says nothing has been done.
Mrs Griffiths, a mother-of-four, said: "It is really dangerous and is just hanging down. It is a thick branch and is fairly dangerous to local residents. I have four children and am worried it may fall on them, not to mention the fact the teenagers round here find it highly amusing to pull on the branch, so sooner or later the branch will be in the road blocking traffic."
Mrs Griffiths has called the city council four times, and on more than one occasion was told it would be dealt with within 24 hours - however two weeks on nothing has been done.
"It is ridiculous," the 37-year-old said. "Why should I waste my phone bill having to tell them so many times?" Carolyn Smith, spokeswoman at Worcester City Council said the calls had been taken by Worcestershire Hub and the concerns passed on to Worcester Community Housing as it was on their land.
"We are sorry she was not advised of this," added Mrs Smith, who suggested Mrs Griffiths visit her neighbourhood office to report the matter.
A spokesman from WCH said its ground maintenance team would be looking into the situation.
