AN 18-month-old girl suffered head injuries after being involved in a car crash near Kidderminster.
The baby's injuries were serious but not life-threatening and she was taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital last night.
Her condition was described as stable this morning and she has since been transferred to Birmingham Children's Hospital for further treatment.
The baby was in a black Volkswagen Golf, which was in collision with a white Fiat Punto van on the A442 Droitwich Road at Torton just after 2pm yesterday.
The child's grandmother, who was a passenger in the Golf, suffered whiplash injuries, and the child's mother, who was driving, was treated for shock, along with the van driver.
The road was closed for several hours but was partially re-opened at about 5pm.
Any witnesses who have not already spoken to police are asked to contact Kidderminster police on 08457 444888.
