TWO teams from the Royal Grammar School and The Alice Ottley School (RGSAO) met head-to-head in the local final of the national Schools Challenge competition for 2008. RGSAO proved too strong for the opposition with a mixture of varied and obscure general knowledge and lightning-fast trigger fingers.
Schools Challenge is very similar in format to University Challenge. The winning RGSAO team - Patrick Neary, Max Howells, Dominic Lowe and Ollie Steele - are now Severn Regional Champions.
Captain Patrick Neary, who lives in Bewdley, said: "We're really looking forward to pitting our wits against some other schools in the inter-regional finals in April."
