A Worcestershire man who appeared on quiz show the Weakest Link narrowly missed out on being in the final.
Friends of Paul Lessemun watched in anticipation as they saw him reach the final three before being voted off at the last minute.
Although the eventual winner, who was given the choice as to who should go, had initially picked the other contestant, Mr Lessemun was shown the door when she changed her mind.
Mr Lessemun, of Gilmour Crescent, Claines, said: "I hadn't told anybody what happens so I just let them watch it.
"I was a bit gutted."
Mr Lessemun said his mobile phone had been ringing off the hook following the programme, shown on Tuesday in which host Anne Robinson forced him to sing a Beatles song Here comes the Sun.
He said: "I've had a few texts which said, next stop X-factor' but I don't think that's going to be the case. I'm going to have a breather."
