WHEELIE bins and parking permits will be on the agenda at a special full council meeting of Malvern Town Council.
Although the council has no responsibility for refuse collections or parking, a group of town councillors has called a special meeting on Thursday, February 21, to look at the issues.
Malvern Hills District Council, which operates the local refuse collection service and issues parking permits, is looking at introducing ways of reducing waste going to landfill and one of the options still on the table is using wheelie bins.
It is also considering restricting the use of residents parking permits to long-stay car parks only.
Town clerk Richard Chapman said, while the town council has no jurisdiction over wheelie bins and parking permits, if councillors make a resolution on the issues he will write to the district council expressing their views.
The special full council meeting is open to the public and will start at 7pm in the town council offices.
