PUPILS at a Worcestershire first school have been learning about the world of business.
Young Enterprise, a West Midlands-based business and enterprise education charity, visited Sytchampton Endowed First School to talk to children about communities.
The children learned about what businesses make up a community and how they can work together.
Headteacher Cynthia Evans said: "It was a good way of getting the children thinking about business. In the future we will be getting them to set up their own businesses and making items to sell at the school fair." Mrs Evans said the children also learned about the Government and taxes.
"It was a very interesting and valuable day," she said.
Young Enterprise offers a range of programmes, based on the principle of learning by doing, which brings volunteers from business into the classroom to work with teachers and students.
Development manager Lynn Richards said: "Some of our programmes enable students to work together to run their own real company. Others use games, hands on activities and role play to develop skills and capabilities for business and enterprise."
