CHINESE dragons, paper lanterns and oriental stories were all part of a fun day at Worcester Library to celebrate the Chinese new year.
More than 250 people visited the Foregate Street library to join the festivities on Saturday, February 9.
Tiffany O'Dell, librarian, said: "It was a really good turnout and we had three parades through the library of the Chinese dragon the children made.
"They also played instruments and they all made Chinese lanterns.
"We talked about this year being the year of the rat and the children all looked up the year they were born to see which animal they were born under."
The drop-in craft session was part of a series of activities being held at the library to encourage people to visit. The next fun day is planned for Saturday, March 1, and will celebrate Mothering Sunday on Sunday, March 2.
