WORCESTER News readers have been urged to raise funds to help in the fight against poverty.
Church groups across the city will be holding collections for international aid agency CAFOD (Catholic Agency for Overseas Development) for its Lent Fast Day appeal on Friday, February 15.
Last year the people of Worcester Deanery raised £6,371.
Sister Gladys Dimaku, a trained midwife and health co-ordinator of Minna Diocese in Nigeria, will visit St George's RC Church in Sansome Place, Worcester, at 7.30 pm tonight to talk about her work.
